I started useing my handheld GPS to try and figure out what gear I need useing this chart. http://jeephorizons.com/tech/rpmchart.html
I now have 3.07 gears running 33's. But according to my tach in 5th gear I'm turning around 1400-1450 RPM @ 55 MPH, by GPS. According to the chart I should see just over 1700. At 55 MPH in forth gear I see 1800-1900, which is closer to where I wanna be in 5th. I'm thinking 4.10 would put me where I need to be, and still mantain 70 MPH on trips without over revving. What do you thing for a DD, part time trail rig. Remember, I don't climb Mountains or Rocks, I'm in Florida. Thanks for any input, Mack:confused:

then, if you are stuck on 33s go 4.56. If your jeep is really heavy with tons of armor, a hard top, and 14 kids go 4.88.

OK, with 4.56, what kind of RPM's will I see at 70 MPH? I spend about 4 hours every weekend at that speed is why I was worried about going to low.
Thanks, Mack
