If you can see the photos I am hoping someone can tell me what has caused the meltdown. I know I will have to replace the fan switch, and the plug. But will I have to do this again in a few months because of some other issue causing it??? Any help would be great.

Looks like a short inside the switch could have caused it but it is hard to say with electrical. You might want to check the wires in that circuit just to make sure you don't have a pinch or damaged wire. A shorted plug could have done it also.

I couldnt get the pic to load, but the way i installed my fan was..

Fan to relay, relay to power and switch. my power has a 15amp inline fuse.

glad you didnt catch the jeep on fire.

The fan switch was new about 3 months ago. I am very happy that the Jeep didn't flame, but I think when I get the repair parts I will indeed add an extra fuse. Fuses are cheap. Thanks for the help.
