I've had the engine (Mercedes OM617 diesel) for a year while I hemmed & hawed and planned things out. Today I picked up the front axle - a high pinion ball joint Dana 60 from a '97 F350.
I'll pick up the 14-bolt rear in a couple weeks, then the 700R4 & adapter to the NP231 ($$$), SRS, and 2" lift springs. In a month or so I should have a rolling chassis with the powertrain in and temporary spring wedges installed. After that I'll do any needed frame repairs, and have it blasted or acid dipped & painted inside & out.
