Gang,

I post seldom as I am extremely busy all the time, but I found a fix for the staining that plagues the JK fenders and bumper plastics.

Simple street grime and mud would stain the plastics. I used everything I could find to get these off, but nothing would completely remove the stains.

I have a product I use for the whitewalls on my Harley and raised white letter tires. It's called "Purple Dragon" and I get it from Mirror Glaze in Louisville, Kentucky (502) 966-8276. It is a degreaser that is mostly caustic soda (make sure you wear rubber gloves when using).

I sprayed it on the dry plastics and scrubbed with a Scotch Brite pad, then rinsed that section immediately. Stains were completely gone. I then treated the plastics with a rubber treatment and the plastics looked brand new!

Figured I would share.
