On the way home from fishing Saturday I noticed my jeep wanting to pull to the right some, and my steering wheel suddenly out of alignment. Well, went to slow down and had no brakes. got home lifted up the front end and low and behold, it looked like my front left axle was falling out.
When i took the wheel of the rotor was pretty much shredded and I think ythe only thing holding my wheel on was the brake calipers?
Think its the hub bearings?
I need to get the brake calipers off so I can tear into it to find out for sure.
What size allen does it take to get the caliper bolts out?
Thanks

Well, the hub holds it all in, so you likely need a new hub. Did the axle nut come off, that is a pretty drastic failure of the hub. I would check the balljoint too after an event like that.

The allen bolts are NOT the ones to remove, look at the back side and you will find two torqs bolts, at least they were torqs on mine.
