Hey guys,

I have a 2015 JKUR manual. I noticed that when I start the jeep and start driving forward in either 1st and 2nd that the front passenger wheel locks and pulls hard hard passenger unless I full engage the clutch and let it roll for a few seconds. Only happens when I first start the jeep and have to engage the clutch at like 5 mph or else it pulls hard driver. No popping or clicking. Happens in 2wd. Is it possible my locker is engaging or damaged? I don’t see and locker light lighting up when this happens. Only harsh pull in my steering wheel as if I’m making a 90 degree turn. Any ideas what this may be?

I was on a run recently with someone who’s driver side rear brake would lock up intermittently. Unplugging and replugging the ABS module seemed to fix it.

We certainly understand why this would be concerning, elithrash. If you’re not able to determine a solution based on the suggestions provided here and you decide to address this with your dealer, please feel free to send us a PM. We would be happy to have this documented and provide you with an additional layer of assistance as you work with your dealer.

Try disabling Hill Start Assist through EVIC and see if that solves your problem. I was having a similar issue recently when starting up my manual when parked on a slight incline. Since disabling it the problem is gone.

Yes, for most, it initially takes a bit of time to get used to the hill start assist.

Been wheeling hard lately?
Could be a broken spider gear getting out of alignment. I did myself once.

Disabled it. Haven’t had the problem yet. Hopefully that fixed the issue
