We need to add some new circuits for lights etc.
It seems logical to add a second fuse block and come off the block instead of hacking in to existing wires and messing with
in line fuses.

Question is where do we tap into power??? Should we have a
separate wire (like 10 ga) comming off the battery terminal or
can we splice into the wire going to the existing fuse block under the dash (if so where is the best spot to splice in at)

At this point dad is planning to mount 3 toggle switches (15amp)
in the dash just below the gauges.
One for aux backup light (1)
One for 50 w driving lights (2)
One for 100 w windshield mounted off road lights (2)
will probably have another circuit for CB comming soon

Tires are on their way - will drive it again SOON

I think 8 or 10 gauge wire off the battery would be good. Possibly fusing the positive lead and the ground lead back to the battery would be a good idea.

A sweet upgrade you could do from there is a beefier alternator.

Great idea on installing a fuse block. That's 100% better than hacking up what you have.

Adding a terminal block..

Depending on the accesories your thinking about adding, this system works well with relays and switches.

So who's setup is it? I had located an 8 circuit fuse block that had 4 switched and 4 battery circuits and can't find it again on the web.

In the same bucket, too many accessories and not enough stock fuse block in the YJ!
