I haven't heard of them before but that's what the shop that I deal with recommended to replace my stock Dana 30 shafts which are too warped to put new ujoints in (was in the middle of a ujoint swap when this came up).

I haven't heard of this company before so how do they stack up? Any advice or experience is appreciated.

Not that I can remember, but I also really haven't checked out many axle/axle shaft posts. Just want to make sure I'm getting something good.

Alloy USA and G2 are the only companies that I would recomend for upgrading your front shafts. They both use 4340 chromolly shafts. If you are looking for a complete kit with inner and outer shafts with the c clips, bearings and u joints. I can get you a kit for about $475ish. It would be a 27 spline Im assuming you need.

You can get me a set of front shafts, 27 spline, kit (inner and outer) for around $475 that are either G2 or Alloy USA ??

Inner and outer shafts with c-clips? What axle are you talking about? and bearings included? You mean unit bearings that go with the outers and u-joints?

I know G2 and Alloy USA have a 10 year warranty on their shafts and both are made of 4340 steel and other imported 4340 shafts probably do not go through as high of quality clearance. I've heard of Randys ring and pinion that are supposed to be good.

I never said there's absolutely nothing else out that isn't good. I just said I would recommend those two.

sorry. I was thinking of another kit that someone else was needing. The Alloy USA is going to cost more. Its the G2 I can get for about $475.

You are clearly either a little confused or aren't sure what your talking about. First, front shafts don't have c-clips or bearings, rear shafts with c-clips don't have bearings. A front shaft kit is going to be nearly $650-$700, that's the standard, rear shaft kits are around $300.

I understand why you say you would reccommend G2 or Alloy USA, which ones do you run? what's in your front axle? whats in your rear axle? what axles are you running? what is the basis for your opinion?

Are G2 shafts imported? Are Alloy USA shafts imported? name one other company that imports alloy shafts for the dana 30 & dana 35 please. If your going to give advice I think you should know a little about what your advising. I personally run Alloy USA's front and rear, and I have been broken fronts and bent rears with 33"s, I have a pretty good idea where the limits are, I also know the best way to buy them and how to get the most out of a warranty (like a 12 month absolutely no questions asked warranty in addition to the 10 years, no need to meet the manufacturers standards for warranty for a year).

Umm.... all the other "lesser"shafts you speak of such as Ten Factory are made in the same factory as the Alloy USA and G2. Where do you think G2s are made? They are made in India like almost every other aftermarket axle shaft.

Maybe if you thoroughly read my posts you would have read that I said I confused this thread with another.

Read thoroughly first before you speak. Also I said I could get him a kit about that price. Did I say "Buy from that link I posted"? No.

Where does it say that ten factory/Midwest is chromoly?

Did you read that thoroughly? I don't see anything about 4340 chromoly

I guess I also forget where I said that G2 and Alloy were NOT imported. Stop throwing words into my mouth. And take a chill pill.

I run 35s with a G2 d44 front and rear. Obviously you don't know the limits if you have bent and broke shafts.

I haven't broke and bent any shafts.

With that said I'm not making this thread into a catty fight about frivolous details. All this forum member was some advice. Not a thread about who is more right.

BTW, If you've never broken or bent an axle how are you supposed to tell us what the limits are? If that's the case, how do you know the stock axleshafts wouldn't have been just fine?

Details that determine if you get off the trail or not are not frivolous, neither is advice you give when you can't keep straight which axle shaft thread your in. It's not a matter of who is more right, it's not a matter of opinion when you say things like c-clips and bearing with front shafts. I was hoping to point out that you had no idea what you were talking about before the OP made the mistake of thinking your advise was based on knowledge. It's not a "catty fight" :rofl:

It's too bad Superior Axle is gone, it's hard to know who to go to for axle shafts at this point. Right now, between G2, Alloy USA, and Yukon axle shafts, I'd personally likely go for G2 simply because Mac now heads it up. Mac used to be the VP at Superior, he helped Superior Axle become the top name in axle shafts is now the top guy at G2 after Superior Axle folded. Knowing Mac, I trust him to make & provide good quality axle shafts.

And O M Jeep, 1botma wasn't talking about the c-clips like are used in a Dana 35, he was talking about the circle clips used to hold the front u-joints in place. We know bearings aren't included for front shafts but they are for rear axles, I'd chalk that up to a minor brain fart of which everyone is guilty of at one time or another. I personally would simply assume he meant everything that is needed to install them is included.

And for the record I agree that Superior was a great product, we'll see where G2 goes in the near future.

Hence the reason for my d44s.

Because I have broken stock axle shafts and spider gears. So knowing when to stop before I break something is called "knowing the limits".

I'm not retarded enough to break something on purpose just to say (insert gruffy man voice) "ughh I've broken chromoly axle shafts. I know my "limits" of my Jeep.

The frivolous details that I am talking about is how your picking apart my words and throwing more into my mouth.

Also my apologies for being human and making a mistake. I suppose your the type of person that doesn't have a backspace button on your keyboard because your perfect? And if I must part take in this game of placing judgement on others... you must only use pens as well because pencils are for those who make mistakes.

My apologies. I'll try to be up to your standards. However I feel like I wont be there. Maybe I'll change my username to insufficient for you.
