:angel:I searched but to lazy to read... I know I might learn something...
Anyway currently running 33 x 12.50's with 3.13 gears on a 84 cj7, T-150, 5 speed. can do 55 -60 in fourth with about 2000 2100 rpm's if all gauges are correct. When I go to 35 x 12.50 or 35 x 10.50's would I need to change gears or will it be close enough not to see much difference? Thanks...

I've never heard of Jeep axles having 3.13 gears available. Perhaps that was a typo? The RPMs at 60 suggest you meant 3.31.

The T-150 is a 3 speed manual. Perhaps you are thinking of the T-5, which is a 5 speed.

You really should be running shorter gears (higher numerically) with your 33's as it is.

My personal recommendation with 35" tires and a 5 speed is to go with 4.10's or 4.56 gears. That lets you get full use of your overdrive on the freeway.

I assume you are running the 258 I6. I am running a T5 behind my 304 in my CJ. I have 4.10's and 33" tires. Does pretty good on the highway. I am in similar rpm range in 5th as you are in 4th now. For the type of terrain I wheel I wish I was a little lower.

If you plan to go to 35" tires my recommendation is 4.56. 4.88 if you want to be able to crawl.

Yes 258 I6. In 5th the rpm's are around 1600 to 1800. i can run at 65 mph in fourth at about 2300 or a little less.
