Can someone explain gear ratios and why they woild need to be changed? And why I dont have 'true' 4x4
Lower gear ratios with numerically higher numbers gives you engine more mechanical advantage to turn larger tires. Who ever told you you don't have a true 4x4 might have meant you have open diffs so if you get one tire to lose traction the other tire won't pull you out. Research how diffs work, limited slip diffs and lockers for more info. You will find tons of info here.rickgonzales said:Can someone explain gear ratios and why they woild need to be changed?
