Hey everyone. I have a few misc. questions that I want to ask:

1) I installed a soundbar and faded the sound to the back speakers so that I can turn the volume and bass up without hearing the two front stock speakers shake. I want some more sound.. should I replace the two front speakers, add sound pods, an amp, etc.? What do you think would be the best way to go?

2) I think I'm going to buy this console: https://www.quadratec.com/products/14012_009_07.htm

Anybody have experience with it or willing to give some input?

3) Are there any basic mods I can do to give my '94 wrangler some more power? I have trouble entering freeways because it takes me so long to accelerate to a reasonable speed.

I'll have more questions to come later, once these are answered. Thanks in advance.

To give you a good answer we would need more info on your YJ.
1) Motor size
2) Tire size
3) Gear ratio in axles
4) Transmition type

I'm a little new to jeeps and cars in general, but I'll try to answer most of those q's.

The YJ is a 4cyl 2.8L 5-speed manual, I'm not sure about the gear ratio or tire size. The tires are oversize but I don't know the exact measurements.

Natural, Save your bucks and hold out for a Tuffy console. I know they are a lot more expensive, But they are made out of steel with pretty good reinforcements and it will keep your aftermarket CD player safely locked up.

By no means bullet-proof, but the plastic one while it looks nice can be defeated with your bare hands.

This is real easy to figure out. You need to look on your side wall of your tire. It will give the size of your tire. On the differential (requires laying down on the ground and scooty up under your Jeep) there is a tag, attatched by the bolts, that will tell you your gear ratio of your axle. For example; 3.07, 3.73, 4.10, etc. Chances are that your tires exceed the correct gearing, as you say they are over sized. Correct gearing is far more crucial on a 4 banger, than on a I-6, simply because of the difference in horsepower. If you have 33" or larger tires, you will need a minimum of a 4.56 gear ratio.

Too address getting more power out of your motor, gears first, then a cold air intake, several on the market. Then you can open up your exhaust by replacing your factory muffler with a less constrictive aftermarket one. Such as "Flowmaster", etc. Those changes will make a remarkable difference in your get up and go.

Yeah, if someone wants to get into your junk then plastic or steel box it doesn't really matter. Here's what happened to Kyle's just the other day. BluViking made mention of the thread the pic is from above.
