The area around Beatty NW of Las Vegas has a lot of easy and scenic 4x4 trails. Death Valley National Park offers Titus Canyon with the trailhead just 6 miles west of Beatty and is the most popular backcountry route in DVNP. Chloride City and the nearby Chloride Cliffs are easy trips suitable for stock Jeeps with the view being one of the best of Death Valley you'll find anywhere in the park.

A trip few folks know about is Secret Pass SE of Beatty. It hugs the east side of the Bare Mountains and skirts the Nevada Test Site with a clear view of Yucca Mountain. You'll like see wild burros, and there are many side roads to explore going to old prospects and unusual geologic areas.

Quoted this so you would get a notice that someone responded.

We did this trail yesterday in our Cherokee Trailhawk. It would have been a no brainer in our Wrangler, in the Cherokee I had to pay attention to the lines/rocks as the clearance is not there as it is in the wrangler. Other than that, basic fire road. We did air down as some of the sections were very wash boarded and others had some decent size rocks to contend with.

After this we went over and blew through Titus Canyon. Very Epic views through that place.

Thank you for posting this. Made a great first Day for 2018.
