So I decided to do my rear pads & rotors yesterday. Had to use a slide hammer to free the rotors from the axles, which seems add as it's only 3 years old, but that's New England road salt for you. Anyhow, the e-brake pads were preventing me from pulling the rotors and despite spending a good chunk of time trying to get at the adjuster from the hole in the backing plate I couldn't back them off, is there some trick to these things?

Unfortunately not. I've done hundreds of brake jobs, and the rear rotors just straight up kicked my ass. even after deadjusting the shoes, mine still hung up after moving 1/4". Persistance with two pry bars back and forth finally won.

I had to use a whole can of spray lube just to get them off...
