Just curious...Am I supposed to wave back? Over at the Gladiator forum, they claim it's okay to wave at a Wrangler and normal for us to wave back. I'm not 100% convinced.

I can't tell it's a Gladdy until after I wave and it goes past me. Front end looks just like the JL to me.
In spite of a Gladiator not being a Wrangler, I still wave at them. Sometimes they wave. Sometimes they don't. I don't take offense, I just keep it rolling.
The Gladiator shares many of the same features and much of the same body styling as a Wrangler (aside for the bed). It's basically just a stretched Wrangler with a bed as far as I'm concerned.

I view the Gladiator in relation to the Wrangler the same way as I do the CJ-8/Scrambler to the CJ-7 and the CJ-6 to the CJ-5.

I passed a young gal in a lifted Renegade with what looked to be maybe 30" tires on it. She excitedly waved. As a courtesy, I waved back, then thought to myself, "How cute! Little Fiat thinks it's a Wrangler."
And to think... When I came home with the Wrangler, my wife told me she was hoping I would get a Renegade. I told her one more comment like that and I'm removing you from my will.

I wave at Gadiators too. Sometimes they wave back, other times they don’t.
I wave at Wranglers. Sometimes they wave back, others times they don’t.
Sometimes Wranglers wave at me, most of the time I notice in time to wave back, sometimes I’m preoccupied.
To me a Gladiator is just a Jeep Wrangler Truck version.

My first 2 door soft-top Wrangler had those then modern headlights. Didn’t bother me as I rarely noticed them except when washing the thing. As I remember they were brighter than the stock JK round ones. 😎

To the OP... Who wrote the wave rules ? since you're not convinced i'm sure you know who did it so email the person and wait until you get a reponse back. You're not allowed to drive the Jeep until you get that confirmation, is that understood ?

Jeeps.. CJs, YJs, TJs, JKs, JLs, JTs.. WAVE Dummy. BTW it would be OK to Wave at a J20 too

I do. Jeep guys as far as I'm concerned. Besides....I can't tell it's a truck until after it's gone. 
They wave, I wave back. It was funny I was a stop light the other day, i look over an older gentleman smiles and waves at me so I wave back. Then he moves forward a little and I see its a Gladiator, felt a little ripped, overall I thought it was funny and would have waved back either way.
