I want to remove the screws holding this piece on & while I was checking for the proper size allen wrench to remove the 2 screws they seem loose & the corners of the trim piece will move in & out a bit? I want to paint the screws "copperhead" to match the exterior but I don't want to break anything on my new jeep. How do the screws come out? Are they fake & snap out & do I just unscrew like any other screw.

Thanks for any help

I still removed them even though you don't have to. Then stick your finger or screwdriver where they used to be and if you scratch the plastic a little when popping it out it won't be seen

If I can get the fake screws out without removing the handle that would be great. I'm only painting the screws. Do they just pry out of the handle, Bones?

Thanks

Nice! It's a subtle touch of color but not over the top. Well done.

I went for the stealth/camo look in my 2014 JKU -- one of Rustoleum's flat camo colors. Mostly because the bright silver vents reflect in the side windows right over the mirrors...it's fun to do these little personal mods!
