I'm getting ready to set up a Vector Offroad full-size dock and planning my mounts, etc.

One thing I'm concerned about is all the power & data cables that will be all over the place...

Has anyone found a good high-wattage 12v USB hub that can be hard-wired and then either panel mounted, or tucked in under the dash, with power cables routed to each device?

So far, I'm anticipating a need for at least 3 devices (my phone, wife's phone, and Garmin inReach) with possible addition of GoPro & iPad mini.

Thanks

While not a hub you could do this:
Install a switch panel in the lower dash. https://www.quadratec.com/p/rugged-ridge/lower-console-switch-panel-11-17-jeep-wrangler-jk
Then add USB outlets as needed. https://www.otrattw.net/Blue-Sea-Fast-Charge-Dual-USB-Charger-Switch-Mount-1039b.html
You could just tap off the cigarette lighter power and loop the power across two or more chargers as needed. If you come off of battery power, then put a switch in so that you can disable the power supplies when not in use.

Great ideas! Not sure if I have room for that switch panel, though; and I like that little mesh pocket. I wonder if I could find something that would fit in the OEM switch locations (the square ones). Edit: dang, now I see that those are one continuous circuit board. What a dumb design!

I already have that cigarette lighter adapter (its powering my CB and amp remote turn-on.)

Those blue sea switch panel mount USB chargers don't seem to be available anywhere... :(

The switch panel doesn't take up room although you might have to change your grip on the 4WD knob to go back to 2wd.

Put one of these in my wife's jeep to charge her stuff. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079RW9998/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Had to carve on the opening in the switch mount plate to make it fit. Don't know if the RR plate was small or the Amazon/Chinese USB was a tiny bit oversize. It was a pen knife cure, so only a few 1000's to carve off for a tight fit.

PS. You should run your CB off the battery. I now the way you have it works but there tends to be less receive noise off the batt.

Thanks again for the tips. That mesh net is a handy holster, but for $16 I might play around with that switch panel. If not I have an A-pillar switch pod I could use, but then I’m running USB cables down along the length of the e-Dock..

Ideal solution is probably going to be a couple of 2-port QC 3.0 panel mount USB outlets on the bottom inside of the center dash tray. Just need to make sure there is 2" of clearance below there, which I'm doubtful about...

Time for some staring and head scratching to come up with ideas.

Thanks for getting my brain kick-started.

The amazon one has been in her jeep for a year now. Her jeep doesn't wheel, so it's just a daily driver that is garaged. (Top up in the summer, top down the other 8 months.) Mine gets wheeled but I did my outlets differently. Mine are cigarette lighter style mounts that are installed in the front of my Tuffy center console. One is dual USB power, one DC outlet, and one USB/mini audio extension from the radio. They've been working for three years now. As for volts and temp, I stick one of those cheap Amazon ones in the dash lighter socket/DC power outlet.
