Hardtop question.

I have a tan '94 YJ, with a light tan hardtop, but I wanted to paint it black. Would love to hear from y'all, just wanting to know how hard, how well it's holding up, and what I need to do it.

I used rustoleum hammertone black. I didn't even take the top off the Jeep to paint it. Sand the top down, wash it off, tape it up, and start spray painting with an outdoor paint so it'll stand up to the weather.

My top use to be tan also, that lasted an entire day. Painted it right away and everything is holding up great.

That looks great! I saw where someone had taken spray on bedliner after they went through the cleaning process. But I like the way yours looks, better.

I gotcha. I'll probably go with the rustoleum for the hardtop. Later on I'm going to do the inside and outside of mine in Monstaliner. Probably orange. Haha
