I have a '97 and had the exact same problem when I got mine. Tried the dealership...they told me there was nothing they could do. They tried to order a new piece of molding and said that I'd have to get a whole new back window. I tried an auto glass dealer...they looked into it and told me the same thing. They recommended I go to a scrap yard and try to find a new back window.

I've had the jeep for about 2.5 years and haven't replaced the back window. Honestly, it's such a small space, I just don't worry about it. I've never had any problems with leaks or anything.

If you figure out a cheap solution, I'd love to hear it. I just didn't feel like burning money on the back window when there's so much else I'd rather do to my TJ.

Weatherstrip for the bottom of the liftgate. This is just the seal. You'll have to check and see if the plastic piece this attaches to is on your glass or not. If not, look for both pieces, which are also sold by Morris 4x4 as a kit.

As for the seal that attaches to the hardtop where the liftgate glass presses against when closed, ebay has the cheapest I've found. Kinda tricky to find that piece.

Upper Tailgate Hardtop Seal 55175041AH 1/2 the price of ebay

And on this piece make sure you have windshield adhesive because it does not come with it.
