I have the pioneer nex 4200 with the obd connector for various info. It currently plugs into the port but I was wondering if there is a simple way to hardwire it?? I don't want to risk messing anything up so if it's too involved I won't worry about it. Any thoughts?

Yes. Kinda like a cap on your OBD2 connector. Can and will drain the battery though.
I guess i thought they are wanting to hard wire so they dont have anything plugged into the port.

IMO you do want anything hardwired to your OBD2. When the port is used for programing, trouble shooting or resetting code you would have two devices plugged in to the port at once.

Mainly wanted it for when I plug my Flashcal. Not a huge deal because it's not like I use it often. But evertime I do use it I have to go into the 4200 settings and reset the maestro.
