So, when we bought my new toy, we realized the button for the heated seat (stock) did not stay on for the driver's side. And of course, during the negotiations, we completely forgot about it since it was the middle of summer when we got her so we didn't get them to fix it as part of the deal. Now, winter is approaching and I'd like to get this fixed. Hopefully by me and when I say me, I of course mean my hubby. :bop:

Did a quick search and found nothing so I'm hoping someone can chime in and lead me in the right direction. Dealership we bought her from said it was a 75 buck fix so I'm hoping it's fairly simple that we can do it ourselves. Many thanks!

By "did not stay on", you mean that it would come on - the light on the switch would come on, and maybe you felt a little warmth from the seat - but it would quit after a short period of time? If so, replacing the seat heater module should fix it. In 11/18 I used part 68299657AA (replaced 68138715AA) for the passenger's side of my '14, and it does stay on now. (I think. This is a very, very part time vehicle for us, and the passenger's seat is usually empty.)

Unfortunately, after you resolve this you'll find the seat heaters are likely worthless, particularly if you've ever driven something with decent ones.

My 2017 JK Rubicon had issues in the second year, First time to the dealer they say its good, second time to the dealer, My wife said put your ass in it and tell its hot or not All functions were a good, the problem is these are Chinese made products, by more than 1 vendor, 99% of the time the unit has failed. So they replaced the passenger side, with another unit, the driver side has been fine for the last 3 years, the replacement driver side has been good for two years since replacement, Its a dealer issue and you got to hold fast with the Service department, basically the worst part of the Jeep Experience, why it cost the Dealer money
