Heater Blower Fan Plwase Help

So today I removed the fan and put in the new one. But before I put it in i tested it and I showed contintinuty between the two wires. Now I know there should not be, but not sure on this. Testeded with a batt. and it ran. I put it in and it ran good for about 30 min then it melted the wire and no more heater fan. Does any one have any ideas?:banghead:

Sorry for the spelling I work Graveyard, and was tired. So I put in an inline relay but it wont switch speeds. This is ok for me so lets see if this helps.
