2011 Unlimited Sahara. Okay this might sound familiar because I've researched this topic and watched YouTube videos and still can't figure it out. The problem is the little red light above the fuel gauge flashes like my key is not being recognized. First time car ran for 2 seconds than stopped. Every time since then it won't even start. I've tried these three simple things.
1. changed the battery on the key FOB that didn't work
2. Changed out M13 20a fuse. No luck
3. Unplugged the battery for 30 minutes Nope

Don't have a second key so that isn't an option to try

Any other ideas?

The only thing is I haven't removed the SKIM module to unplug that and plug it back in.

TIA

It’s probably a damaged key fob. Even a simple drop can cause enough damage for this to happen.

It was the key. Turns out my wife threw it about 20 feet in the air and it bounced off a brick wall trying to toss it to my son. Ace hardware is the best. Did a house call to program a new key.
