My Wife and I found that the cable connecting to the defrost tab puts pressure on the tab every time the back window is raised. So we dabbed some Shoe Goo on the cable at the base of the connector to prevent movement and we no longer have this problem. I'm sure epoxy would work as well but shoe goo is what we had at the time and it's holding well.

I had the same problem. My fix was to use a small cable clamp around the cable and attached to the stud for the window strut. I had to use a regular nut as the strut bracket nut has recessed threads. This fix keeps the pressure off of the tab where it attaches to the grid. JWL
