Ok so I have a TJ and was told I need new ujoints (already got last Saturday for my front axels) they also said I need to replace my dust covers and seals as well as axel fluid? while I'm at it but not sure what parts I need ! I was quoted $400 for a machanic to do it but that is absolutely out of my price range so I'm going to do it myself!! But I need help with the names of the exact parts I need !! And what fluid is good? Can someone help me suggestions and advice is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!!

gear oil - see the owners manual for weight recommendations or ask the local auto parts store

I think the u-joints are spicer 153x's but you will be looking for front axle ujoints.

The dust caps are okay to add but don't really do much, they are found on the axle just protruding from where the inner shaft exits the inner c

Most of the stuff can be found at a local auto parts store with the exception of the dust boots.

For tools

3/4 inch socket or lug wrench that came with the jeep
The bottle jack that came with your jeep or a floor jack
A mini sledge is nice for knocking out the old joints
Needle nose pliers for the ujoints c-clips
A torque wrench
A 12 point 13 mm socket for the calipers and the hub bolts
PB blaster, kroil or other penetrating lubricant

Unless there were modifications done this should be about what you need.

If you have none of the tools or parts then figure about a 200 budget and get cheap tools to start with then work your way up.
