Alright I have a co-worker, actually ex-co-worker of mine whose son is selling his 93 TJ, now I just got my 2010 JK back in April and honestly I am in love.. he is telling me how it won't start and all he needs is a carb, now I really don't mind he's asking for like 750 for the car, dual tops and all.. but how much work would I probably need to make it a decent reliable car.. ?!:banghead:

Well a 93 is a YJ not a TJ first off and how does this kid think its a carb problem. Regardless for 750 if the frame and body is in good shape id buy it in a heart beat

do you know what motor it has ?
if it is 93 it's fuel injected for 91 was the year of the first 4.0 and all the 2.5 were.
sounds like the kid has no clue but 750 for a dual top yj is a heck of a deal even if you have to do a few things to get the Jeep up and running .
I would bet money it is something simple.

If it's got a carb then it's probably not the original motor since 91 and up has been injected. For $750 your main concern should be rust. If it's badly rusted out you'll spend thousands bringing it back.
