Hi all, 99 Wrangler TJ 4.0 3 speed automatic. I’m getting this lurch when the Jeep shifts from second to third. It’s worse if I’m accelerating quickly. If I had to pinpoint it, the problem started this summer when I replaced the transfer case linkage. While doing that, I discovered that the transmission mount nuts were missing (probably left off by a shop a couple of years ago). I replaced the nuts, and that’s all I’ve done to the transmission (aside from jacking it up when I dropped the skid plate). ATF level appears to be correct. What should I be looking at next, and hopefully it’s something I can do without dropping that skid plate again.
