yeah, I'm really looking forward to doing this trail. Hopefully this year (fingers crossed).
I *think* this trail is one of the options with the Jeeper's Jamboree in Colorado.
I *read* that the local Sheriff had closed it for a while after the last vehicle rolled over the edge. Not sure if that is temporary, or even true (although I did read it on the internet... ;))

Yup Scott is right that's just before you descend the steps on black bear pass. That accident happened two days before I ran it and he was trying to turn around on the steps I had heard. The trail is one way for a reason. It's a great trail with the unbeatable views
 
Great photos.
You look at the country and you immediately see how the Jeep evolved over there.
You're all lucky to be in the midst of that.

Instead over here we evolved Land Rovers, which are unbeatable when up to the door handles in mud :rofl2:

Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Opening Day.















The first day was beautiful, then the weather turned for the worst. First time I have seen snow on the dunes.
