I just bought a 1 1/2 Inch Super Lift lift kit, as thats all my budget could really affoed and i needed to get some kind of springs under it as i'm gettin tire rub on my flares from how flat my stockers are now. I know once i install this lift, i'm gonna be dissatisfied of how much lift i really got out of that 1 1/2" So my question is, how tall of a shackle lift can i use before i need a SYE? and also, with this lift will i need extended brakelines before/after shackle lift and what else should i be looking for, i.e. common issues when installing a lift

thanks for your help guys

ok let me help you out a little we're sorta in the same boat. i am going to lift my jeep, i currently have a 2 inch shackle lift that really translates into like 1/2 inch of actual lift.
i run 31's. i want to get alot of lift that rides really well and flexes great. that would be spring over. now you can either weld your new setup in or they make bolt ons for the welder disabled. a slip yoke is a must and yes brake line extensions. it is a bit of work to do it yourself but save lots of denaro!!! the kit i found with everyitn you need for a spring over is 450 dollars. you get your brake line extensions and shocks, new mounts and all that jazz it will give you 5 1/2 inches of lift and you will flex 40% better...also you will maintain stock ride. now along with this you will absolutely have to get a slip yoke eliminator (sye) i have found one for 360 dollars with all the kit and a new drive shaft. so another complete kit!!! so for around 810 dollars you get everything you need. all the lift you could want and a great riding rig. so that is just my idea hope it helps. good luck
