I want to switch out my gauges.. purchased new ones already. However, the new oil and temperature gauges have different set ups then the stock ones.

Has anyone changed these out and can help me?

The oil one has a little tube that connects to the back of the gauge which you have to connect to the engine somehow? Can someone tell me where to hook/connect the little tube to on the engine?

The second gauge is the temperature gauge. It has a wire on the back with a piece that looks like it drops down into the engine and sends the temp back to the gauge...

Stock set up, I know there is a sending unit (top back of engine) for temperature that currently sends to the old gauge... and the temp sensor on the front of the engine that keeps track of temperature too, but doesn't send to gauge...
My question is... can I take out the front, lower sensor and hook up the new gauge set up there and abandon the little sensor on the top back of the block that sends info to the old gauge. Will that mess up anything that currently runs off that front, lower temp sensor?

Thanks in advance for ideas, how to's and general info on replacing all my gauges.

The oil gauge line needs to be mounted where the oil pressure sender is now. Your set should have come with the right fittings to do this. Temp gauge is the same thing, it should go where the temp gauge sender is now, if it is too big, you will have to use the temp sensor opening unless there is a plug somewhere on the head or block. If you use the temp sensor you will have to use some extra fittings so the temp sensor is still in use...
