I Was Wondering If Anyone Knew How To Disable The My Gig So That The Dvd Will Play The Video While Driving. I Don't Want It For Myself But It Would Be Nice For The Kids To Watch The Dvd, I Don't Really Want To Spend The Extra Money For An Additional Screen In The Rear. Just Wondering. Thanks!!

make a friend at the dealer, i think its done with the starscan

It can be done with the StarScan or a Snap-On Scanner with 2007 CAN Updates. BUT I doubt that the dealer will do it due to Legal reasons. My suggestion, either find someone in a local shop with a Snap-on scanner with the updates and give them some Beer or drive to Phoenix.

Super old thread, but to clear up any misconceptions, the starscan can not do this, the only way to do it is with one of the override devices like Lockpick, NavTV, or Navtool.

I have a Lockpick and have DVDs going constantly for the kids. Works great!
