My gas tank was vandalized. Rocks and small pine cones were crammed inside the neck. I am sure that more stuff made it down the filler tube causing a restriction. Have to put gas in slow or otherwise nozzle will shut off like when the tank is full. Only its not full.
Want to find out how to change the complete assembly. Any help will be appreciated.

I would definitely recommend a locking gas cover from now on.

You're better off with a locking cap. The "covers" don't hold up. The fuel fill tube is basically plug and play. Make sure it has the "strap" that assists in securing it. It will be a lot easier when you replace it if it's on a lift. Run your tank down to under a half tank if you can. If not, be prepared for possible fuel spilling.
