Hi all, I have 195k miles on my 2007 JKU 3.8 and counting. Is there any way to know if the engine I have no is the original or if it's been replaced ? Is there some way to tie the engine to the VIN ? If so, where would I look ? The engine is in great condition, clean, no oil leaks and runs perfect which almost makes me suspicious with the number of miles on it.

Thanks

Part of the vin from the vehicle will be stamped on the pad on the engine block. If it is different then you know at least the block has been changed.

Perfect, and Thank you for your service !

I assume the pad location is similar to small block chevy on my old Corvette in that it's in front of the head, part of the block itself ?
