Going to need a better description. Sounds like you may need to replace the oil pan. I have no idea what an oil can protector is. If it is a 4.0 motor is pays 3.2 hours for labor plus the parts (oil pan and gasket).

.1 is 6 minutes. So you take the shop rate and multiply it by 3.2 and that is your answer fo the cost. example 125/hour shop rate times 3.2 equalls $400

Sorry I just looked it up. I bent My oil pan skid plate and I think it punctured my oil pan
Is there oil leaking all over? If not then you probably didn't puncture it. Stock there is no skid plate under the oil pan. There is one under the transmission and transfer case. Can you post a picture? Jeeze didn't you just get this jeep! :thumb:

Then you can straighten the skid plate, but you need a new pan. Don't drive it until it is fixed. More than likely you will have to pull exhaust to replace. Easy job. And this post makes me wonder why you don't want the roll cage in your jeep. You need to leave it in!

Well good thing you were in a jeep. A small car or even suv you could be looking at thousands and thousands of dollars in damage! This shouldn't be more than a couple hundred, if that!

Yeah I bent it. THe curb wad pretty big mind you my jeep is stock so its not that far off the ground.
Sucks :( if you punctured it and its leaking, I wouldn't run the engine. The bent oil pan Could be damaging internal parts, and obviously running an engine with low or no oil will kill it. I would tow it home/a shop, drop the oil pan, and make sure everything looks ok. It could just be the impact broke the gasket or RTV (not sure what's used here) loose and is leaking from there. In that case you could hammer the old pan out flat again if you don't want to buy a new one. If it all ckecks out, replace it with an OEM pan. Good thing you had the skid plate!

Thank you for the quick response.Yeah who ever had the Jeep before me I want to shake there hand. I have AAA so im going to have them tow it to the shop. I had to drove it home like that but it was only a few miles. There is definitely something wrong cause it would vibrate when I push on the brakes :nonono:. Hopefully its not too expensive. There goes the money im saving for tires :banghead:
