Golen does make some great ones, too bad the price is about the same as their V8s.
Any stroked I6 is going to be that price or more.
Hesco and Clifford are the top two in building serious I6 engines, with
Hesco having been selected by Mopar to build all their racing and performance I6 engines, along with a slew of hi-po aftermarket parts for the I6 Mopars, including the MPI conversion kit for Mopar.
If you are "sensitive" about the price in any way, don't even look at stroker I6s. Even if you do the work yourself, the parts alone will normally set you back well over $2000.
If you want more hp than you have, just get a low mileage 4.0L hi-po engine out of a '92-'95 YJ at the JY. You should be able to pick one of those up for $800-$1000 in good shape. Remember to get the wiring harness and the ECU at the same time.
Eliminates the Carter BBD

(you REALLY want to do this) and replaces it with the MPI system

AND you get better heads, more flow, better mileage and better overall performance.
