I had a idea the other day looking at the front grill of my 2007 sahara. On either side of the radiator there is a plastic "flap" that fills the space between the grill and radiator. I have seen these cut before to install intercoolers in front of the stock radiator and run the pipe back into the engine bay. I was thinking maybe I could cut a 3 or two inch hole in the left one by the air intake and run a 3 or 2 inch air pipe into the engine bay by the air intake to bring cold air to the intake. when you drove down the road the wind would fly into the pipe and bring in cool air from the outside ( that hasn't been warmed by the radiator and engine. Combine this with a cold air intake and i think this would be pretty cool. The part I like about it is that nobody knows it is there, unlike the big snorkel scoops people put on their hoods. Seems to me it would work the same way maybe even better with less distance to travel. I would put some metal mesh on the end of the pipe to keep debris out. Put some grill inserts in and you would hide the ugly radiator and the air scoop. What do you guys think.
