Looking to upgrade to a 33 or 35 inch tire with a new set of wheels for a reasonable price.. Any opinions on make, at or mt, etc..
I'm not sure if my jk can run 15's i have stock 18 Sahara wheels..i was debating on finding a set of rubi wheels or something..If 33’s the Duratrac 33x12.5x15 is a great set at a great price. Search for duratrac combo on the forums and you'll see a ton of information and different looks. I'm researching 35’s so I can't help there.
Yeah I've been looking at some pro comp alloy wheels.. I was thinking 33x12.50x17 but I've talked to a couple guys that i used to wheel my old samurai and they've been trying to talk me into 37's with 17's but i just started shopping for wheels and tiresI might know someone selling some 35's soon... I will give him a call in a bit. You can get new steel 15r at belle tire for $50 a pop.. Not to shabby if you can find some gently used tires to slap on them on c-list or from someone on here. I did Rubi take offs on my last jeep and found a pair (5) for $250 with only 10,00o miles off craigslist. Your Sahara is on an 18r and the rubi's run a 17r... so unless you want buy someones wheel and tire combo... you will have to buy new wheels.
I've heard good an bad bout spacers but I'm still really reading into the whole spacer lift.. I've heard they're squeaky and horrible but other people I've talked to like the crap outta them? So I'm still up in the air honestlyWell you will not be able to sport 37's with that lift. Are you doing a spacer lift or a full suspension? You should have no problems with 35's rubbing with a 2-2.5 lift though.
You can. You have to be careful though as some fit some dont. I have run Pro Comp 52s on 2 different JKUs. I had 15x10 on my 08 and have 15x8 on my 11. Both fit with no problems. No grinding or spacers needed.I'm not sure if my jk can run 15's i have stock 18 Sahara wheels..i was debating on finding a set of rubi wheels or something..
If you do a lift you can run the 33's or 35's. I think you will be disappointed if you go with what your tire guy said... He is obviously not a jeep owner. Get some 15" pro comps, throw on at least a 2.5 lift, and get some 35's.. You wont be sorryMe and my tire guy met yesterday and he thinks if i run a 285x75x17 if be better off then trying to run a 33 or 35 cause he's worried bout rubbing.. Does anyone have any input bout wheel spacers ? Are they hard on the studs and axles?
