Wow. Took me forever to realize that the 1990 ECU does not emit trouble codes by turning the switch on and off,on and off, on.. In fact it doesn't emit trouble codes.
I have a start to idle problem. Engine starts, idles as normal then starts to stumble as it warms up, usually about 2 minutes +-. If I rev the engine it corrects itself and finally idles okay. My thoughts are IAC dirty or faulty. Does anyone have info on metering the IAC, and other sensors? Also, is there a way to access the computer without buying expensive readers etc?
Thanks

Its so easy to clean the Throttle body & IAC I would just start there.
  • Gently remove hose from top of airbox and swing out of the way
  • Unclip airbox & loosen clamp to throttle body
  • Remove large hose on throttle body
  • Unclip cable from throttle body
  • Unscrew 4 bolts that hold throttle body on
  • Remove IAC torx bolts, clean with Mass air flow cleaner
  • Clean Throttle body with throttle body cleaner

gasket for TB is like 3 $ at the parts store if you want to replace it
