Do you mean it keeps trying to start after the engine has started running (grinding noise from the starter)? Or it keeps trying to start and won't kick over until you shut it off and try again? Just want to make sure I understand correctly.

If it keeps trying to start after the engine has started, it's probably a bad crank sensor (not telling the computer when the engine starts running). If it keeps trying to start and won't until you shut it off and try again, could be a lot of things.
