New 2013 JK Sport with less than 300Km. When the engine is running it is a bit difficult (feels "crunchy") to turn the ignition off. I have to push the key in while turning off and it still feels a bit rough. Is this normal? Will it smooth out with use? Or is it just my Jeep telling me it wants to play some more?

Crunchy peanut butter is ok but not a crunchy ignition switch.

It should get better, I have a 13 sport as well an I thought the same thing it took a bit of extra force to turn the engine off, but as I've put more miles on it the easier it has gotten

My 2012 did the same thing both my keys had some square edges on them. I gave them a few turns on my wire brush of my bench grinder problem solved. Take them to any place that makes keys and have them run them on there wire brush.

Thanks, I like the wire brush idea. WD40 did not help.

Oh well, the wire brush idea did not work, but it is starting to smooth out on its own (or I'm getting used to it?) there must be some rough edges in the lock.
