Hey guys new to the forum. I have a 97wrangler with Chevy 5.7L and I am wanting to increase HP/Performance. Jeep has lots of tourqe but slow off the start. I believe the current gear ratio is 4.10 would dropping to a lower ratio improve my acceleration? I am running 35's, 3 speed auto trans, aftermarket cam, Holey performance carb, edelbrock performer intake manifold. Not sure about the cylinder heads?

What would someone reccomend first? I am soon adding headers.

Thanks for any help!!

merry christmas

Supprised it's slow off the start.. I know that 35's and 4.10's are not ideal but I would think the v-8 combined with the auto and it's built in reduction (converter) would make that thing fly out of the hole. Is it running good? Has it been on a dyno? What cam? Heads? Etc. I guess if it's cam'd and has heads for higher rpm then you would need gears.
