Hello all,

I have a 1990 Jeep Wrangler 4.2 6 cylinder. I have changed out the ICM (Ignition Control Module) two times and it failed again. I know this is the weak link in the ignition system, but this is ridiculous. My question is this. If I use an MSD ignition box, coil, and distributor, can I eliminate the ICM?

Look into swapping in an HEI dist.... It will replace and simplify the entire ignition system.

Yep.... An HEI has all the electronics in the dist cap. The only other thing you need is 8mm plug wires.
