Have an 04 TJ...
I havent ordered them yet but when I do and go to install new front and rear bumper (and side steps) do i need to worry about airbag triggers? I dont know if they are located in the bumper or what...

anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I have some experience with that. You will be fine removing the stocker bumpers both front and rear. If you look under your heater and in front of the center cosole you will see an aluminuzed little box. That is your air bag control module. That is the trigger for the air bags. Your bumpers have nothing to do with it :)

The front air bag line should be under the swaybar cover, at least in mine. and if your new bumper has room for the cover then you should be good. I donno about the rear though.

Hard to see it, but its a small hard line that runs behind the cross tube of the frame. At least that what I've read and been told.

follow that hard line around and down to your passenger side brake caliper. It is routed from the master cylinder. It has nothing to do with the air bag system. :)

I just had a question about that "little aluminum box" in front of the center console - or the air bag control module.

When I lined my tub with Herculiner, I put a light coat on top of the aluminum box because it was exposed with no carpet covering it. I then sprayed the remaining exposed aluminum with Black Duplicolor from a rattle can to make it match.

Will this pose a problem down the road? Obviously, I want my airbags going off if I get into an accident  Will this hinder the sensitivity of the control module? Keep my airbags from going off? I'm probably freaking out, but this thread made me think about it.

Thanks guys!

Shouldn't be a problem. But if you get in an accident, and something fails, your insurance "could" point the finger at the liner. It should not affect the functionality of the box however.
