So I'm taking a Kicker ZX 300.1 amplifier out of my brother's truck because he no longer needs it. I am wanting to install it into my 2001 TJ because my Kicker 10CVT654 that I replaced my blown out factory sub with has been cutting out on me when the bass gets too loud. I still have the OEM head unit. Now my question is, how do I install this amp in order to get my sound system working like it should?

More specifically, I'm wondering:
1) Will this setup between this amp and my subwoofer even work or will one overpower the other?
2) If it will work, will the amp power only the sub or will it power the other 4 speakers in the car?
3) Depending on the answer to number 2, how do I wire it all up?
4) Where would y'all suggest placing this amp? It might be small enough to fit in the console where my sub is installed, but I'm thinking it might overheat or rattle ridiculously.

Here are the links to my stuff:
Subwoofer installed in the factory enclosure in console:
Kicker 10CVT654 CompVT shallow-mount 6-3/4" 4-ohm subwoofer at Crutchfield.com

Amplifier that I'm hoping to install:
Kicker ZX300.1 (11ZX300.1) Class A/B Mono Amplifier Car Amp

Way to many watts for that sub. It's 300 watts max you need an amp that puts out 150 watts to the sub.

Also that amp is a one channel amp (mono) so it will only power the sub

So using this amp would just kill the sub?
