I have a short ram intake.. car domain for pics.. i bored the throttle body it whisles like crazy now and it did make noticable difference at WOT lol (TJ)
TJ's Are DIFFERENT than a JK. If you try to bore a JK throttle body, you will cry when you see the results. They are plastic and have a buch of electronics in them. Everyone NEEDS to REMEMBER that the TJ is 110% different than the JK. Most, if not ALL of the info on TJ's does not apply to a JK. I am seeing this ALOT on most of the forums, as TJ owners compare thier mods to a JK. When you "bored" the throttle body on your TJ, what did you use for a throttle plate when you were done?? Because unless you increased the size of the Throttle plate, it would explain the whistling you are getting. Plus, on a dyno, the increase would be negligable, at best. It does no good to make the opening bigger, neck it down, and then make the outlet bigger. It creates a venturi effect and it just makes alot of noise....
