2019 Views 10 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  penguin_in_a_cj
I have a chevy blazer at my disposial, used to be a diesel but now has my 350 in it for storage and starting purposes. I got an idea out of boredom and the gm 12 bolts are a measly 3 inches wider than my cj axles, which gave me the evil idea hmm mabye.. anyone played with this idea yet

No, you are the first to ever dream of putting full width axles, under a jeep............:D:D:D
I am askingother than the obvious mounting replacmenting. I am not going to find out about any other issues like a sudden desire to I donno need a thousand dollar spring pirch relocation kit or something..

smart a$$
i would make sure that they lineup with the T-case first, or are you putting the whole shebang under the jeep?

he just wants some advice as to what kinda work he's gettin himself into
ok I want to put the front and back axles under my 79 cj-7.. I was wondering if anyone had done anything along the same lines.. I know I am going to have to move the leaf spring mounting points an inch and a half on each side to make them fit the frame. thats not a big deal I was wondering about drive line angle diffrences and as he said tcase line up.
and excuse my spelling I'm sober at the moment it screws me all up
And I thought it was the fact that you're typing with those clumsy ass flippers, Penguin..... :D

And here I thought you had had one or three, two many....:D I really did not understand your question. I am sorry about that. The first thing you have to check, is if your t-case is for a driver side drop, or passenger side drop. Then you have to look at your GM front axle, and see if it will line up with your t-case. Your drive line angles, should not change much, depending on how much lift you are wanting. If you are mounting them on the same springs, you should have approximately the same pinion angles. I apologize for my lack of understanding, of your first question.
thanks man figured I'd make sure I wasn't going to run into any suprises. but everything seems to be looking up so I may pull the rears outta my cj over the weekend
