Well i'd kinda gave up on the Jeep search for a while but ran across a 2001 Wrangler, with only 37K miles for 14,950. Is that a decent price, or should i try to talk them down? Its got new BFG All-terrains, KC light rack on the roof, bullet hole rims. Other than that appears stock. Going to look at it in person wednesday, so any advice would be awesome, thanks.

To me 14 thousand is a little steep. Of course you can always talk them down. Is it a hard top or soft, rubicon, sport, se, sahara, unlimited???? That will make a difference as well

Yes it does seem kinda high.... I got my '01 with 38k a year and a half ago for just over 11k..... Sounds like it must be at a dealer..... look it up on NADA, call your bank and find out the loan value they'll give on it, then go talk turkey with them.....

Ditto: Is that the out the door price? What kind of option package does it have, etc... If you are financing definitely check with the bank for the actual value. I found the dealers I looked at wanted to use "their" financing but the % rate was through the roof. Just for comparison; I recently purchased a stock '02 Sport, Dana 44, 5spd, soft top, with 27,000 miles, literally owned by a little old man for $12,900 +TTT. Original top, windows you could see out of, original tires (Had to put new 31's on), basically brand new. Runs great and can't wait to get some extra $$$ to put a small BB on it. Good luck!!! you'll find the right one.

When I was searching I found a few 2002 and newer jeeps with 30k and under miles for $15-16K. They sold fast and were hard to find though. I finally bought my 2002 with 48K miles for $11,800. I think it depends on where you live and the time of year.

Also, if you are financing the interest rate may be higher for an older jeep. So, if you don't plan to pay the loan off early it could be cheaper to pay a higher purchase price for a newer jeep and get a lower interest rate. I'd recommend downloading a loan amortization schedule and playing with it.

I bought my 2001 se with 51,000 miles for $6500. it had brand new 31's on it but needed a new top and a lil tinkerin here and there. I think 15k for a jeep is a bit much...Unless its truely bad to the bone.

I,m going to sell my 2004 Wrangler -X in the spring . It,s very clean has AC 6Cly 5 speed and runs very well 79,000 miles and nice 32-10,5 tires . I will ask $15,000 and don,t think that is high .

I bought my 04 exactly like yours except with stock tires, 41,000 miles for $13,500 and I could probably get close to that if I tried to sell it with 70,000 miles now. I live in northwest Indiana though.

I bought my 2003 Sport a year ago with 44,000 miles on it for $12,500,in perfect condition,so IMHO,that is extremely high.As stated above,a nice Rubicon could be had with that kind of money.
