Hello all.

Name is Jae Frai, Jeep is a modified 2015 Unlimited Rubicon (JK Hard Rock) and i live in the Royse City/Rockwall, TX area (east of Dallas).

I went to my first Jeep meet last night from the time of this post via North Texas Jeep Club for a school supply donation at the Gas Monkey Bar & Grill, it was a blast.

Let me know if any of you guys are local to me in DFW and drop a line!

A little about the Jeep: Formerly "Breakneck Betty", renamed to "Knotty Boy" and i acquired it right at 15k miles. It has:

X-Factor suspension w/ 3.5" lift (3 link in the rear only) (Rock Krawler)
Offroad Pro tie rod & drag link (Rock Krawler) on high steer knuckles (Reid Racing)
5.13 gear ratio
Big Brake kit (Dynatrac)
2.0 Performance Series Shocks (Fox)
12,000lb Winch (Smitty Built)
Sway bars (AntiRock)
CB system (PRO505XL)
Speaker package (Alpine - comes with Rubicons)
Dual air compressor along with front & rear air lockers - ARB
Windshield lights
Rock Lights
17" AX757 Chamber Pro II beadlock black rim wheels (American Racing Wheels - ATX Series)
37" tires - (Nitto) Trail Grapplers M/T
Front and rear bumpers (Poison Spyder)
Crusher Fenders (Poison Spyder)
Rock sliders (Poison Spyder)
Decals (obviously for hp boost)
Dana44 rubicon rear axle w/ Rock Krawler support truss

The cons:

-A few of the welds on the rear diff truss are popped and will need re-welding
-This rubber boot/TRE rubber ball joint on the upper drag link has a tear. There's grease in it and holding, but i'd like to repair it. Maybe RockKrawler will send me a new one if i ask?
-The rock sliders and wheel fenders are powder coated and the paint's starting to chip (not a concern though)
-The frame ends have been cut off, so looks like im stuck with the bumpers (which is fine)
-Not the most pleasurable to drive at highway speed (60mph+), especially when a big rig flies by. Has some sway and steering has about 1-2in free play but maybe just a combination of the lift + the 37" tires (at 28psi) and needing an alignment with the Antirocks

Nice Jeep!

Looks like the drag link is on an angle. Need to loosen the adjuster sleeve and try to level the joint so that the new seal is evenly compressed. Hopefully that will keep it from tearing again :)

i had mentioned my 3 link on the rear only as was pm'd a private question, so thought i'd share an article i found that better explains/illustrates it than i could. The 3 link and suspension installation was all done prior to my ownership of the vehicle

Thx @Old Dogger , once again a gentleman and a scholar. @Blue Baby Sound , i cant wait to get home and adjust as you recommended. at the moment, im due back in the US around early January.

SO, on the "ordered" list as of today, i've got:
- a small passive 15 watt PA speaker
- a PS hood louver
- a 48" hi-lift jack with the jack handle holder thing and the tire lifter thingy
- rear seat recline kit
- a set of limb risers

- a @Vector Offroad JKE dock will be on order soon as i clarify whether or not theres any forum or military discount codes available. Even free shipping would help kill the $20 price tag via ground.

update: Vector Offroad full width dock ordered.

I emailed the company and asked if they had any veteran or forum discount codes. They responded that they were offering NO discount codes at this time BUT once i install the bar and take a pic of it i need to post said picture on the forum and tag Vector Offroad, and then email a link to the thread with the picture to their company's admin email for "a portion" of the price returned for reimbursement... it was $149 + $19 in ground shipping. A 1" bar doesnt seem nearly worth anything close or over $100 but damnit they got my money.

.

What other plans do you have for this one?

.
i just got back in town, still playing catch up, but at the moment i just need to install stuff stated in the last couple posts along with rewelding the rear axle truss and changing out the axle seals. Other than that, i'm pretty happy with it. i'd LIKE to give it a new unique wrap for outside visual uniqueness BUT i have twins on the way now so i doubt i'll be able to splurge much any time soon lol.

Anyone ever tell you look like Aaron Kaufman?
Lol nope, first time hearing that... i usually get something closer to Adrian Brody lol. I can never maintain the level of patience needed for a beard like that

The old truss removed and the new rear support truss (RK) has been installed and tested via our homemade articulation ramp. Just ordered a rear track bar relocation kit to back the track bar off the truss a little bit more
