I saw this video on another site, it's a little boring. I was actually thinking about one but after watching the video I am having second thoughts. It seems to spend alot of time on 3 wheels ... no flex..... even on the mild roads they are on.

They are more for driving on roads in snow, and very mild off roading, I wouldn't recommend one to anyone wanting to go wheeling on a regular basis. That's what the wranglers are for. :D

BUT, they are a pretty nice vehicle. And for those looking for a little more mpg and something that can get them to the store in the snow, then I say go for it. It would be a nice addition to a driveway that already has a trail Wrangler in it.

The compass is along the same line as the patriot, but gets about 30 mpg. They are neat additions to the Jeep line. Not everyone goes rock crawling on the weekends. :) Even though they should. :p

Is this also known as a Commander ?

If so, a friend has one, and it's pretty capable off-road. Surely not a Wrangler or Cherokee, but for a soccer-mom, a more capable vehicle than many other choices.

IF it's not the same as a Commander, than I havn't seen this other than this video.

The patriot is almost the same size as the original cherokee/xj , the commander is a bit larger. They just started building them.

The '08 KK Liberty will be just a little bigger than an XJ, and look a little more like it than anything else.
