I know folks put stock JKU suspension on JK's for a little extra lift.. But has anyone bought a JKU specific lift and put it on a JK?
It would seem a 2.5" kit would net you around what, 3-3.5"? Once you add armor and bumpers you could be right back down to 2.5" and be within the normal performance range of the spring rate since you would weigh close to a JKU..

Am I way off here??

Yes, you are off.

A 2.5 lift is going to be 2.5 when it's fully loaded. It will be 3.5 before bumpers, winch and armor.
