I received mine today and noticed that there was no hardware for mounting the resistors nor instructions (which I really didn't need) BUT the hardware would have been nice. Thanks to everyone's review and insight into these. I got mine last night but they did not have the hardware or instructions in the box. I am glad I looked here before just dangling the resistor in the cavity, that just didnt seam right!
Someone asked about price - I got mine from Northridge for $314 or so free shipping.
No plates, nuts/bolts, clips..... Seems like the little bag was missing (I believe the directions were in the bag too).I received mine today and noticed that there was no hardware for mounting the resistors nor instructions (which I really didn't need) BUT the hardware would have been nice.
Doh!!!Okay, Homer. :funnypost:
You'll want to contact the place where you purchased the lights, not JW Speaker. The way their warranty works is that you have to go through the dealer, not the factory. They should take care of you if defective.Well I finally got mine and I'm not happy. The passenger side fits great just like the stock light. The driver's side after an hour of tinkering with it I couldn't get the light to cover the galvanized clips the screws go into. There is approx a 1/16 gap between the light and the body and from the top I can see the clips. The light has virtually no recess for the clip to reside in. Plus the plate that has the clips that holds the light to the body is not attached on one side at all. Couldnt get ahold of speaker (closed) like i said the passenger side fits perfect. The pic is of the plate not attached correctly. The gap and clip issue doesn't photograph well on my phone. I'll try tomorrow with a real camera.

I did. They told me to call speaker myself. I tried calling and they are closed for the weekend. So I called the vendor back and they said for them to send a replacement set I had to pay the return shipping and when they get the defective set back and process the warrantee they will send out another set. So about 2.5 - 3 weeks to get a replacement set. Or they said I can buy another set and wait for the credit after the warrantee process. Either way not as teller situation for me. Hopefully on Monday speaker can just send me a drivers side light and a return label for the defective one. You'll want to contact the place where you purchased the lights, not JW Speaker. Does the vendor not take returns or something?I did. They told me to call speaker myself. I tried calling and they are closed for the weekend. That's absurd. I can see you paying the return shipping if you simply decided you didn't like the item but that is clearly not the case here. They take returns if i pay the return shipping. I told them straight up if I have to order another set to not have to wait 3 weeks then the second set wouldn't be from them. I've never had a vendor make me send the defective/damaged part back first.
Exactly. We'll see what happens on Monday. That's absurd. I can see you paying the return shipping if you simply decided you didn't like the item but that is clearly not the case here.
Sounds like a vendor to avoid. If I didn't want to wait 3 more weeks and found another vendor that has them in-stock and ready to ship, I'd eat the return cost and buy from another vendor. Than I'd let everyone know who the vendor was that made me pay to return a defective product they sold me. I can understand a vendor squawking about having to eat the return shipping cost on a large item like a bumper or wheels/tires but we're probably talking $15 here.
I bought mine from the same vendor and still haven't received them. I wish I would have ordered from someone else. They take returns if i pay the return shipping.
